Alpha Rotterdam (non propelled hopper split barge) started working in Mtwara port for China Major Bridge, building a new berth in Mtwara – Tanzania. She will assist all the dredging phase during the next 3 month.

Alpha Transporter is currently shuttling cargo between Pemba and Mocimboa Da Praia. Road transport between Pemba and Palma/Afungi has limitations with bridges capacity of 28 T gross. Any heavy cargo has to be transported by sea to Mocimboa Da Praia and then trucked to Palma/Afungi.

Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd recently undertook dredging works at the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) dockyard slipway no.1, Mombasa in the ongoing rehabilitation.
The scope included:
1. Excavation of sediments to determine depth along the slipway using an excavator on Hippopotes – backhoe dredger
2. Loading of the excavated sediments to Alpha Rotterdam – split barge

After completing the first phase of piling on the Kisumu Oil Jetty Project, Alphahek – a JV between Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd and Vanthek International, is demobilizing the equipment back to Mombasa to complete a slipway project for the Kenya Port Authority.

ALSL recently successfully completed the refloat of MT Theresa Arctic, a crude palm oil tanker that went aground on coral, off the coast of Kilifi in Kenya. Our tugs, work boats and qualified personnel worked hand in hand with Smit International and Kenya Port Authority during the course of the three-week operation.
Our vessels involved in the actual operation were Alpha Granada and Alpha Pina. Other vessels: Ham 1400, Valentine II and Alpha Kirawira were used as support vessels, ferrying personnel and required material for the salvage. The vessel was successfully removed from the reef without any damage on the hull and no reported incident on personnel involved. It was later escorted to safe anchorage at the port of Mombasa.
ALSL has a 24/7 emergency response team with tug boats on standby at the port of Mombasa and is able to respond to any vessel emergencies across the East African coast.

Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd (ALSL) recently salvaged SI HANG YUN SHA 1, a self-propelled hopper split vessel, which was grounded on the reef opposite Nyali beach hotel, off the Indian Ocean coast the last week of May.
With the expertise of the ALSL salvage team and tug boats, the vessel was successfully removed from the reef without any damage on the hull and was escorted to safe anchorage at the port of Mombasa.

Alpha Pina recently delivered a work barge from Durban, South Africa to Mombasa, Kenya. Both the barge and its cargo were delivered safely without any damages after 20 days at sea.
