Alpha Logistics has been awarded the towage of Cutter Suction Dredger which shall undertake the dredging of the new Lamu port as well as the towage of other barges to support the project. Sparrow Hawk AHTS delivered, on the 12th October, the CSD from China Communication Construction Company Ltd in Lamu port. The CSD was towed from Mombasa to start dredging Lamu Port, for the first phase of the LAPSSET project
Our tug Alpha Pina delivered 2 barges in Lamu on the 8th October for China Communication Construction Company. These barges were towed from Mombasa. This is one more step towards the start of the construction work of the first berth of Lamu new port, part of the LAPSSET Corridor project. Alpha Logistics is proudly supporting this major project in Kenya.
Alpha Logistics Services Ltd and Southern Engineering Company recently successfully launched the first IACS CERTIFIED barge in East Africa, Alpha 2500, with a dead weight tonnage of 2500.
The new addition to our existing fleet of work boats and vessels will continue to facilitate marine contracting and project support in civil marine projects throughout East and South Africa.
